Bleach: Is that BYAKUYA?? OMGOMGOMGOMG, I don't believe it! He's like a little kid! And Yoruichi, OMG, I think I love her even more now. *more squealage here* OMGOMGOMG. ~~And possibly even a new OTP.~~ Srsly. That was freaking WIN. I bet they're gonna tell us how Byakuya turned from ADORABLE into I-have-a-stick-up-my-rear-end-Kuchiki. ~~I bet Yoruichi rejected him or something. >o<~~

Gin is getting more interesting by the chapter. No freaking joke. Wow. And Urahara too. Everyone always suspected the evil scientist side, the super-ambitious side, but now we're seeing it in freaking SPADES. WIN.

...LIKE GIN AND MATSUMOTO OMG. ...I'm really not another manifestation of hellesque, honest. Honest to goodness not. [~~and when're they gonna tie up the thing with Nel and Nnoitra??~~]

Ichigo, hun, I love you, I really do, but puh-lease. One word. Just one: RUKIA. I'll even give you two: RUKIA KUCHIKI. OMG. Like omigah OMG. No srsly.

Naruto: ...Yea. Boo. *waves little yellow flag around unenthusiastically* I don't think I'll get started about Itachi's death. It's too depressing.

On the other hand, I'm so glad we went back to the huge group of poncho-wearing minions. [Tobi is as awesome as ever, btw.] I was so happy to see half of Kakashi's loveable, unseeable face. Yup. Made my day. And Sai needs more air-time, dangit. [though it's good that Shino's finally getting off his butt and doing something]

Dude, both chapters were transition chapters. How boring. Then again, you can't really back up two chapters of immediate WIN with two more chapters of immediate win. Just not done, I suppose.

Kenpachi his usual awesome, wonderful self? Okay. Nnoitra's conclusion not even touched upon? O...kay... The captains-spread in Karakura? Win. And is that Matsumoto I see in all of her big-breasted glory?? Going to the very place ICHIMARU GIN is going to?? MATSUMOTO AND GIN IN ONE CITY--I DON'T THINK I CAN CONTAIN MYSELF--HELL YEA.

Finally we're getting a move on things. <3

Naruto: I am SO bummed that Itachi died, you have no idea. Though it could be worse. It's pretty obvious Kishimoto's not gonna let his beloved SASUKE die, oh no, SASUKE's the special one, the emo kid that EVERYONE loves. D: Boo. Not at the price of Itachi.

However, if I were going to look at it in an unbiased manner, I've got to say--I love the way Itachi went. [I was about to say "goed", but that's not even slightly grammatically correct. I do speeches Engrish, velly well, velly well.] Way to tie in the whole brotherhood thing. At least you did something right, Kishimoto. Now bring in Naruto for the ~~gay buttsecks~~ fateful reunion, get it over with, and let's keep moving forward, shall we?

On the bright side, everything's not at a stalemate anymore. I've got to admit that's <3.

It's like some kind of kinky fantasy one creators spontaneously added manifestly. What's with you, Tite Kubo & Co.?? With Orihime of all people. I'm ashamed of you, Aizen. ASHAMED. Can you read the capitalized and not-so-fine print? Gah. Talk about Orihime-[freaking]-fan service. D: ~~And what's with drawing Aizen so pretty? He is without a doubt prettier than her.~~

Btw, the original Bleach chapter didn't really say that, in case you were so dense you couldn't tell. It was actually edited by me.

On another, more INTERESTING note: it's not official yet, but I think the first loveable Bleach character's died. It can go both ways. Nnoitra can have what he's always wanted, but nobody likes THAT. He's got no conclusion: a loser in life and a loser forever in death. On the other hand, if he hasn't died, then he can learn that the meaning of life isn't death. And Baby Nel's gotta ~~get hot again~~ grow up sometime.

So because of the Nnoitra, the chapter wasn't a complete and total loss. ~~Dang that guy is screwed up. <3~~

I saw Gin. I saw Gin. I SAW GIN. ~~I want more Gin/Ran, dagnammit!!~~ Not a crazy fangirl, no sirree I h'ain't.

And some IchiRuki, but that's pretty much to be expected. :D

If it was just some fan-exchange, then that would be a completely different story. I heartily agree that spoilers should be marked in a fan discussion.

Recently started using the photo-editing program on my computer. It's freaking AMAZING. I know. I can't help but play with it all the time. Except... I kind of suck. I know the basics, but getting my works into something glossy and beautiful and whatnot up to my standards is going to take a LOT of work. Hm.

I can't stand people, did I mention that?

I think I signed up for too many flashfics this month. Blech. When is the Avatar flashfic due? I don't even know. Ick. I joined... yea, alright, I joined two. Poop. Poop and crap and everything else. Ick.

Heh. I live. Prepare for a freaking long post. First off:

Well, first my trip to the east coast:

We took the red eye flight, my family and I, because it was cheap, and duh, it pays to be cheap when there are five people flying the same trip. I could sleep. I seriously couldn't. I'm a really light sleeper, and I can barely sleep on a car, much less a plane. It SUCKED. But oh, come on, it was cheap. =-= We got to Washington DC at around nine o'clock and we got to wander around 'cause we couldn't check in until two. Poop. So we checked in [I got to take one heck of a glorious shower], then my dad, all excited, said that we should go see the Congress building! "Short walk" he said. 5 FLIPPIN' MILES. All the way through the National Mall and back. 5 MILES. :D Actually, it was kinda fun. Hehehe.

It was really hot, but it was humid, which was what relaly sucked. It was a nice city, and a nice, busy city at that. I really liked it, but I'm just weird like that. I love cities. The only really bad thing was that my parents kept on treating me like a kid. I mean, seriously, a kid; I felt like a preschooler half the time. Hello~~? I'd think I'd have grown by now, right? =-= And things were tense between me and my mother. I mean, I haven't talked to her, like, really talked to her in a long time and I think that just made it more like we were due for one big blowout of a fight. No, seriously, she actually lost it in the middle of a hallway in the National Archives and asked me, in no uncertain terms, "what the hell was wrong with me". =-= I didn't do anything. She snapped at me first. Honest. Anyways, there were two families behind us and when we suddenly stopped, the mom did this funny half-swerve to avoid touching us that would have made me laugh [but as you can tell, didn't]. Like, the entire family just looked at us as if wondering whether to break things up [we were just staring each other down] or call the police. So I just left. The kids looked uneasy. Gotta do it for the poor kids. >>

Anyways. Moving along. We went to the Amish Village in Pennsylvania. That made me feel squeachty. I mean, what the heck? I know they have their own style of living, but that doesn't mean we have to go and poke through a facsimile of their living quarters and point, take pictures, and go "ooh". =-= Wtf? It's like someone driving through San Diego and going, "OMG, San Diegans live so weirdly." It's like some freaking zoo, the way people were talking about "going to see the Amish Village". =-= I was NOT happy. But of course, being treated like a freaking child again, nobody listened to me and accused me of being cranky. ...In very impolite terms.

Canada was nice, not so hot, very nice. Went to see the Niagara Falls and went on a stupid tourist boat. :D The falls were pretty, but there were these two little kids behind me, and the girl was crying [throwing one heck of a fit] and shoving her brother, who was trying his darndest to ignore her [great kid; I would have slapped her] and their parents weren't trying much to get her to stop crying, just trying to get her brother to look at the camera and take a picture [which he also did admirably; cute kid]. *sigh* I hate being a tourist.

We also saw the whirlpool, that really wasn't a whirlpool, but that's stupid, so I'll just keep moving on.

New York, OMG, you have no idea. I loved it SO much. The city smell, the city sounds [cab drivers honking, lawl], the skyscrapers, omg, if I die, bury me there, and I am SO going to live there someday. I SO feel the lurve. :D First the hotel was freaking tiny, could only fit two people, much less than five, but whatever. We soon switched to another hotel run mainly by Chinese people and that was great too. All throughout the trip, I'd been eating disgusting American food or cheap, Americanized Chinese food, but here, I got, get this, ACTUAL FREAKING CHINESE FOOD and ACTUAL ASIAN TEA. I was so happy I could've cried. Hahaha. It is pretty redundant sometimes.

"Please do not deposit dog feces in the blue recycle bins." I honest to goodness saw that sign in New York. Hecka funniest thing I ever saw; I laughed for almost half an hour. I've NEVER read "dog feces" on a sign before. xDD

I'm bored, and I don't want to say any more. Anyhows, I'm back, and after I get the move completed, I can start on my flashfics... >> << >> << *guilty look* I owe so many... I should get the flashfic rounds started soon... *more guilty looks*

Miscellaneous Literary Interests

I must confess to it, yes. All inspired by random books I've picked out. Allusions to other people's works seems to abound in writing nowadays. As a result, I've perused Christopher Marlowe's writings as well as the poems of John Keats. It's a strange thing, actually.

If you randomly go down the street and ask someone, "Hey, do you know a playwright named Christopher Marlowe?", the reaction you most commonly get is a blank stare, or at best, "No, I don't." But if you choose to ask them, "Do you happen to know a dude named Shakespeare?", you would be no short of, "Oh yes, he's a famous play writer, isn't he?" or even some very disparaging groans from those remembering their traumatic school days. Why, might I ask? Shakespeare may know how to spin a pretty verse, but I must confess, his plots are far from intriguing.

Take Romeo and Juliet for instance. Peopel argue on behalf of Shakespeare that the lovers were indeed starcrossed and knew they had found "The One" the moment they had lain eyes upon the other. But Shakespeare allows hints in his play that they were merely two foolish adolescents. For one, Romeo was pining after another girl when he first saw Juliet. A fickle teenage male, as you can imagine, a figure many of us are familiar with. No, I cannot say that I have any great respect for Shakespeare's plays. People praise him as a renowned master of plots. Where is that skill. Nowhere to be found.

Now on the other hand, Marlowe. Now, I admit, his word phrasings that make up his plays aren't quite as beautiful as Shakespeare's, but who gives two buckets of puckered peas? He has all that and more in his epic poems. His plays have substance, wit, sardonic humor, and more insight into the human soul and nature than Shakespeare and his attributed talents have ever displayed. I recently read Doctor Faustus, a short, five act play written by Marlowe and though the literary components of it pale a bit in comparison to Shakespeare's play on words, there are moments when the sheer beauty of his phrase turns just sticks in your mind to revolve twice more.

Anyways. Enough waxing eloquent about Marlowe's abilities; I have yet to read Hero and Leander. Onto less serious items, I have discovered a new obsession in the Japanese Anime respect, with a tiny fandom and a distinctive plotline. Utterly delighted. Might I introduce Skip Beat!, beguiler of my wandering attention span.

Well, of course, that's her all made up. I found it weird that the creator was able to make her look so like herself even with a supposed wig and make-up on. I've never seen that happen before, and I've read plenty of series of manga in my time.

Anyways, the pairing in it is sort of an undecided trio, but it she doesn't end up with Ren Tsuruga, I swear I'm going to hunt down the producers and, I don't know, assassinate them or something. *sigh*

I think I'm quite obsessed. Scanlations have never served me better. Anyways, enough babbling and enough waste of space. I'm bored, and I'm gone. Whatever. Ciao.

Just Some Random Thoughts

I've recently read a fantastically diverting story by Imaginary Parachute and I've derived an idea from it that I'm having great fun with. Heh. Card-It! Project BETA Testing commences...

I suppose I'm beginning to realize more and more how I judge people on first impressions. Yea, I know, people say "first impressions are everything" but they really are for me. For instance, I meet someone online. If they talk chatspeak the first time I talk to them, I am SO much less inclined to like them. Really, it's true. Or if I'm introduced to someone and that guarded-"how-do-ya-do" vibe isn't there, then I'm impressed. Which brings me to my next thought.

I make a lot of decisions and actions based upon how something "feels" to me. I mean, I know that sounds so Spiderman sense-y but it's true. Even if someone looks perfectly normal, smiling, laughing, something screams "fake!" inside my head and that makes me wary around them. And after a while, I usually find out I'm right. Gee, I sound like I'm some kind of freak. Lemme rephrase that. I don't so much look for body language clues [conciously, at least] so much as going, "Wow, that person's angry". Next thought: "where the heck did that come from?" Weird. Fakeness is a red-light-alert signal for me and just walking by a group of people I get this sudden urge to give them a Look. You know, The Look. The one that says "you-are-so-full-of-sheet".

Then again, there's that saying "it takes one to know one". Why is fakeness so huge on my radar? I've decided it's because I'm so dang fake myself. I'm not a nice little Asian girl who's supposedly "perfect" [cur-ipes it pissed me off when people tell me that] and oh-so-good to her family and is prone to moments where she gets obnoxiously loud but is still sweet to people around her. I'm not. Really. I mean, people who know me might tell me, "oh, I never thought that for a moment", but really? I think you have. And I'm NOT that "nice girl". I'm derogatory, I put people down [when they can't hear me], I do nice things because it's convenient for me [not because it'll help someone], and I can't stand most people most of the time. It's true.

And another thing I've noticed recently: I've got a superiority complex a mile wide. Maybe more. Not in the fact that I think I'm oh-so-awesome and everybody should bow down to me, but more like, "dang-this-world-is-crap-and-nothing-impresses-me-anymore" type thing. Which is about as bad. So I thought about it and I realized that I don't respect most of my friends. Yes, confession time, everyone gather around. I don't. It's just a fact of life for me. I don't respect a friend who's smart as all heck but demeans herself by acting like a child because she thinks it's cute. I don't respect a friend who takes up OCD, fixing my hair, tugging at the wrinkles in my clothes, telling me to button up my shirt because it's too revealing, little things that wasn't a bother until it was pointed out [I've seen OCD, and it is NOT something you can just call up for the moment when your crush is standing nearby to watch].

I don't respect someone who feels that they have to overlook one of their better qualities for one that they think will make them more popular. I don't respect someone who feels they need to put someone down to make themselves feel better, or to get attention, or laughs. I can't. I think myself superior to them; I just don't respect them. I don't respect myself, so there's no way I could put myself below them. Sad and utterly true.

I don't respect myself. It's a strange statement now that I think about it. Can you respect yourself when you see all your faults and despise yourself for it? I'd tell someone else with the same problem to look more at their good qualities to balance things out. But you know what they say about advice:

Good Lord, I am so sick of people. I am sick of people, sick of condescending, male-chauvinist-pigs, sick of superficiality for the sake of public approval, sick of people not being able to do things for themselves, suffice it to say, I am quite sick of humans in general. W. T. F. Is there not a male in this world that can TAKE A HINT?? Any male?? Guess not. =-= Not when there are retarded females encouraging them with this disgusting "oh-dear-I-am-so-tragic-and-dependent". =-= I think I've been through this before, but is there NOBODY who has any iota of independence nowadays??
